Veteran BCP cllr downed in primaries

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe's longest -serving councillor, Gaone Chamme has been defeated in Botswana Congress Party(BCP) primary elections held over the weekend.

This means that the BCP councillor's long reign will come to an end in 2009.

Chamme has served the party since 1989 will have served as Leseding ward councillor for 20 years when he vacates office in 2009.
