Venson-Moitoi dodges Khama media abuse queries

The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi has refused to say whether it was right or wrong for the director of broadcasting services to read a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) statement on state radio and television on Friday.

Venson-Moitoi, whose ministry controls state media referred queries on the matter to the National Broadcasting Board (NBB). She refused to comment saying she was in a meeting in her Serowe South constituency and in any case cabinet ministers are on leave.

Director of broadcasting services, Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo has found himself on the receiving end of criticism after reading a BDP statement by President Ian Khama on state radio and television.
