Venson-Moitoi calls time on Hobona in parliament

FRANCISTOWN: Serowe South legislator, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi says sitting Francistown West MP, Habaudi Hobona, is merely acting on behalf of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) candidate, Ignatius Moswaane, who she tips to win in the October elections.

Venson-Moitoi, who is also the Minister of Education and Skills Development, launched Moswaane over the weekend, with euphoric supporters erupting in rapture as their candidate was paraded.

Moswaane did not contest last year’s by-elections that were eventually won by Hobona after Whyte Marobela, a contestant in the BDP primary elections, challenged the authenticity of the results resulting in the High Court barring Moswaane.
