USAID/SAREP launch conservation projects in Maun

SAREP outreach and technical coordinator Geoffrey Khwarae said that the projects would be launched by the United States Charge d'Affaires Michael Murphy on March 8 in Maun. He said that the projects would improve livelihood in the area.
"They will improve food security, minimise human-wildlife conflict, and generate income for rural communities," he said. The funds are designated for Pabalelo Trust, EcoStars and the Trust for Okavango Cultural and Development Initiatives (TOCaDI). These are local organisations whose mandates include protecting natural resources and promoting conservation-oriented development.
