Unknown caller threatens Botswana students

Some Batswana students in Port Elizabeth, South Africa have said they have received threats following the gunning down of a compatriot last week.

The students told Mmegi from Port Elizabeth that they have been warned by unknown caller not to give information in the investigations of the death.

"They just said anyone who dare give witness should do that at their own risk. Those are the ones who were at the scene and I just got a call that I should get to the police station and when I got there, the police knew nothing about the call and the number was off air when we tried to call it," said a student who wanted to remain anonymous.
