UNISA and UB explore psychology

The two day first ever Southern African Student's Psychology Conference organised by UNISA and the UB was held at the Gaborone campus on Friday.

According to Dr Matshepo Matome of UNISA, the conference was held to establish linkages with UB. "We want to be an African university and to achieve that we need to liaise with other African universities. We thought UB could assist us in terms of research and being our external examiners. From there the idea came because we often live the voice of the students out," said Matome.

She went on to say that the main objective of the conference was to re-imagine psychology, they wanted the students to think critically about psychology and its relevance to Africa.
