Child trafficking has always been considered

Last Thursday, a group of Gantsi school children invited to participate in a children's forum organised by UNICEF gave accounts of how their own parents, neighbours and village elders are engaged in the practice of child trafficking.

One schoolgirl told of a boy who had grown up on her family's farm.
"He is very uncomfortable when he is around other people. All he is used to and is comfortable around are cattle, goats and his mother. Some years back we convinced our parents to take him to school but he jumped off a moving truck and hurt himself badly when he was being transported to the village where he was to start his schooling," she said.
