Unemployment rate highest among those with only secondary education

The unemployment rate of those who only attained some secondary education is the highest in the labour force, standing at 24.4 percent, a survey has revealed.

Preliminary results of the Botswana Core Welfare Indicators Survey (BCWIS) show that the unemployment rate of this group is highest at 24.4 percent meaning that the group makes up 46 percent of all unemployed persons.

This  translates to 80,008 of the overall figure of 126 349 unemployed persons, a report from the acting statistician general Anna Majelantle states.
