Underground Chinese warehouse raided

An underground storage facility used by Chinese mafias in Gaborone as a warehouse for fake international clothing brands was hit on Thursday in a rare raid involving the DIS, CID, plain clothes police and representatives of international clothing brands.

Police are expected to release a report this week about the success of this first-ever operation targeting illegal trade in fake international clothing labels. On Friday police spokesman Christopher Mbulawa confirmed the Thursday operation but said they are still putting together the information.
