Umbrella party launch set for September

*Boko preaches unity between the media and political parties

FRANCISTOWN: The much publicised Umbrella Party will finally be launched on September 8, Botswana National Front (BNF) leader Duma Boko told journalists on Friday during a press briefing here.

The leaders, of the three parties, BNF, the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) and Botswana People's Party (BPP)) that will be subsumed into one party to form the Umbrella Party have earlier on the day, held a meeting in the city to prepare for the Umbrella talks that will be in Gaborone this week. The meeting also discussed challenges currently facing the parties that are part of the Umbrella project.
