UDC suspends BMD

Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) president Duma Boko this afternoon announced the suspension of one the coalition partners Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD).

In a full packed room at Oasis Motel in Tlokweng Boko declared: “Yesterday the National Executive Committee of the UDC took a decision to suspend the BMD. They should take this time to go and reflect, then respond to the UDC not later than October 18, 2018 (14 days). I appeal to BMD members to remain calm”.

The Botswana Congress Party (BCP), Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) and Botswana National Front (BNF) leadership attended the press conference.
