UDC responds to BCP

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) spokesperson, Moeti Mohwasa has said they would not like to engage in unnecessary exchanges with the Botswana Congress Party (BCP).

The UDC has four affiliates, the BCP, the Botswana National Front (BNF), the Botswana People’s Party (BPP) and the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF). Lately, the UDC and the BCP marriage has apparently been rocky, sparking exchanges of words officially and non-official on social media platforms.

This week, the UDC president Duma Boko gave the BCP Members of Parliament (MPs) and councillors an ultimatum, which forces them to choose between the UDC and the BCP.
