UB students burn suspected thief's car

A suspected thief learnt his lesson the hard way on Monday, after a mob of University of Botswana (UB) students burnt his car.

The man was allegedly sighted while trying to escape through a window after allegedly stealing a laptop at Block 451 - a woman's residential hall. This was around midnight.

Someone saw the man as he tried to escape through the window with the laptop and alerted others. A chorus of 'legodu'  - thief - went up as other students took up the shout and angry students poured out from residential hostels all around the university.
