UB sacks two lecturers

The University of Botswana has sacked two lecturers - one for leaking exams to students for cash and the other for faking references.

The exam leakage lecturer was busted by the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC).

UB spokesman, Samuel Moribame, said the two lecturers were dismissed after internal disciplinary hearings. He revealed that the two were charged with professional misconduct. "We can't go into details on personnel matters. We can't even release their names," he stated. However, sources have revealed that the cash-for-exam lecturer is a mathematician.
