Two Zimbabwean youth sent to jail

FRANCISTOWN: Two Zimbabwean youth were yesterday sentenced to six months imprisonment with two of the months suspended, for malicious damage to property.

Innocent Manyenga and Richard Chnoera both aged 28, pleaded guilty to the charge which stated that on May 19, 2009, at Tonota village, the two cut a roof and ceiling of Letlhokang Bar and got inside. While they were still at it, a neighbour heard the noise and reported to constables who were on patrol that night.

The police hurried to the scene and found the burglar doors still locked and suspecting that the culprits could still be inside, they got the keys from Rebaone Moatlhodi, who is said to have earlier locked the bar at around 10 pm when she knocked off. Upon opening the doors, Manyenga and Chnoera were found sitting down.
