The ongoing Kgomo-Khumo anti-stock theft operation in Boteti area has captured two men who recently appeared before the Mopipi Customary Court for stealing stock.

The duo, Tebo Mogale, 32, and Unabatsho Bokeng, 24, both of Phase 1 in Letlhakane, was arrested in Mopipi last Wednesday after the two were suspected of stealing two matimela goats in Letlhakane.

It is reported that after committing the alleged crime, the duo transported the goats to the home of the girlfriend of one of the accused in Mopipi where they slaughtered one. The Botswana Police Service public relations officer, assistant commissioner Dipheko Motube stated that the duo is also charged with shop-breaking after they allegedly broke into a nearby store where they stole a 24-volt battery, car tyres, and cooking oil.
