Tshekedi's daughter to officiate at Moeng celebrations

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Royal Bafokeng Queen Mother Semane Bonolo Molotlegi of South Africa's North West Province will be the guest speaker at the much-anticipated 60th anniversary celebrations of Moeng College on September 26.

The Queen Mother of what is widely considered Africa's richest tribe is the only daughter of the late Kgosi Tshekedi Khama, who established the school in 1949 as an Ipelegeng or self-help effort.

Known for her oratory, Queen Sesame will be the centrepiece of the celebrations to rekindle the legacy of her father and acquaint the young generation with the history of the school.
