Tshabalala to appear in court in October

Chief prosecution counsel, Matlhogonolo Phuthego of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) said yesterday that Tshabalala volunteered to come to Botswana to face trial after there were many unsuccessful attempts to extradite him.
He said that the case was supposed to be registered in court yesterday but the DPP learned that his defence attorney was not an advocate. "The procedure in Botswana is that he can only be represented by an advocate from outside, permitted by the High Court or a local lawyer," said Phuthego.
