Tribal regiments set against Siele?

Fireworks are expected in Mochudi following reports that Bakgatla royals have mobilised regiments to destabilise the Minister of Local Government Peter Siele's kgotla meeting to be held in the village tomorrow.

Yesterday evening all Bakgatla regiments, both men and women, were called to a kgotla meeting ostensibly to discuss strategies to use to disrupt the minister's meeting.

Prior to yesterday's meeting, Mmegi is informed that an all male regiments' meeting at the main kgotla last weekend discussed plans to frustrate Siele's impending kgotla meeting.  His immediate predecessor, Minister Lebonaamang Mokalake who has since been transferred to the Ministry of Lands and Housing, will accompany Siele.
