'Torture victim' laid to rest

Italy 'Jordan' Setlampoloka who recently died under controversial circumstances was buried in his home village of Mahalapye over the weekend.

Setlampoloka's body was found in Senamakola lands in Gabane a day after his arrest by police. Family and friends gathered to bury him in a low-key event on Sunday. Speakers at the funeral reportedly indicated that the family is yet to fully understand the cause of the death, although relatives promised to get to the bottom of the matter.

The funeral programme indicated that Setlampoloka was born on September 30, 1980 in the village of Pilikwe. He went to St James Primary School from 1988 to 1994, before moving to Mowana Community Junior School until 1996.
