Botswana Baylor Children's Clinical Centre of Excellence (COE) and Princess Marina Hospital on Saturday received a P245, 000 donation thanks to Jonathan Bernheimer, who had on May 2-10 cycled across the Kalahari Desert from Namibia to Gaborone.

Bernheimer is a Paediatric Aids Corp (PAC) doctor seconded to Botswana by the Baylor International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) as part of the organisation's agreement with the government.

The money will be used to buy life saving cardiac monitoring equipment and resuscitation supplies for both the paediatric HIV clinic in the COE and Princess Marina Hospital's paediatric ward.
