Toddler killed by reversing visitor’s car

A tragic incident occurred in Madiba, Palapye, on Saturday morning, where a baby boy lost his life after being accidentally reversed over by a visitor.

According to the Palapye Police Station commander, Superintendent Molly Lebala-Moduke, the 35-year-old man from Extension 7, Palapye, had visited the family of the deceased in Madiba.

Unfortunately, while reversing at around 9am, he accidentally crushed a two-year-old boy. Lebala-Moduke explained that the toddler was promptly taken to the clinic and later referred to Mahalapye Hospital. Regrettably, the child succumbed to the injuries at around 2pm the same day. She added that the young man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
