Toddler hit by car, dies

A one-year-old baby boy has succumbed to car crash injuries after he was hit by a car when playing alone outside the house.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon at Modikwane ward in Serowe and the baby boy was rushed to Sekgoma Memorial Hospital but was later referred to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning while hospitalised.

Investigating the case, No 2 district officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang said the baby’s relative, a 31-year-old man, is in custody helping the police with investigations.
