FRANCISTOWN: In what could be a sequel to problems engulfing the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) in Francistown West, one of the people at the centre of the controversy, Professor Lazarus Tlou, boycotted a meeting called by the party’s central committee.

“That is why I boycotted the meeting,” he said briefly. Tlou and another hopeful, Baatlhodi Monyatsi, was prevented from contesting the primaries against Dr Habaudi Hobona, who has since won the constituency and is now its member of Parliament.
