A 22-year-old man of Tlokweng is accused of raping an eight-year-old girl on Friday evening after enticing her with snacks popularly known as mabudula.

It is alleged that the young man was caught with the young girl in a compromised position in an alleyway.

The suspect was arrested and handed over to the police by a mob that went after him for raping the minor.
