Tlhokwane bade farewell

FRANCISTOWN: It was the shortest farewell function ever held in Francistown when Major General, Gobuamang Tlhokwane said goodbye at the civic centre on Monday afternoon.

Usually, a farewell function to bid someone who has worked for 31 years in a high ranking position would be replete with speeches, dancing and singing.

The Monday gathering was conducted with military precision. Most of the people who occupied the chairs provided by the host, Mayor Buti Billy, were men in uniform. There was a smattering of women, though Billy did not attend. He sent Councillor Golelwang Mogomela instead.
