Tibone won't hang up political boots yet

FRANCISTOWN: Labour and Home Affairs Minister and Tati West MP, Charles Tibone, has parried rumours that he plans to hang up his political boots.

Sources in the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) and his home village of Zwenshambe claimed the area MP was 'tired' of the flak that he continues to get from some colleagues within the party. They claim that he now wants to quit to concentrate on his businesses and would not, as a result, seek re-election in the 2009 general election.

Besides his political engagements, Tibone is a shrewd businessman with business interests in Francistown and Gaborone.
