Three-year wait for JC research topic continues

The introduction of research skills and computer-based mathematics in junior secondary schools is failing to take off due to shortage of resources, three years after it came up with the revised Junior Certificate (JC) curriculum.

The topics were supposed to be administered throughout the maths JC curriculum. 

Teachers have complained that lack of computers in some schools, as well as governments failure to hire teachers with computer skills, have proved major stumbling blocks. They argue that the situation is not helped by the fact that they also lack computer skills.
