A 24-year-old woman and two men, aged 31 and 33, died on Saturday morning in separate road accidents in Tlokweng and Tsolamosese respectively.

Divisional Traffic Officer for South Central, Assistant Commissioner Reginald Matlhaba said the woman who was a passenger on a Toyota Altezza lost her life in an accident that occurred near Oasis Motel in Tlokweng.

Matlhaba stated that the driver of the car, a 26-year-old man, had lost control of the vehicle and hit an electric pole. He stated that the driver managed to escape the accident with minor injuries. In another accident, two men burnt inside a Honda Fit along A10 Road in an accident in which they were trapped in the car following a head-on collision that resulted in a fire.

“Their car had collided with another along the A10 and caught fire. It looks like one of the drivers drove into oncoming traffic causing the head-on collision. Two others from a different car were rushed to Bokamoso Private Hospital where they are currently hospitalised. They are stable but sustained serious injuries,” he said.
