Three NGOs receive Japanese grants

The Japanese Embassy in Botswana donated a total sum of US$176,682 (P1,259,200) to three NGOs, namely, Camphill Community Trust, Botswana Judo Federation and Samkuyo Tshwaragano Managemnet Trust last Thursday.

The donations were made under two grant schemes that the Japanese government started in 1981, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security project and the Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots project.

The Botswana Judo Federation received US$68,577 to purchase judo equipment and gear as it prepares to host the Cadet and African Championships in October.
