Thieves learn the hard way

Crime does not pay. This is the hard lesson that an as-yet-to-be-known number of thieves who broke into Sunrise Pharmacy at Gaborone West Shopping Complex on Tuesday night learnt.

And so harsh was the lesson that one of the men is alleged to be hospitalised at Princess Marina Hospital, after the theft went awry. It is alleged that the men tried to use dynamite to blow up a safe. The dynamite however blew into their faces, badly injuring the hospitalised man.

Gaborone West Station commander, Bonnie Bareki, who visited the crime scene said there was blood all over the place "We do not know at this time who the person is and the extent of his injuries," he said.
