The marauding delinquent who held a village hostage

It is not everyday that a youth in his early 20s causes fear in an entire village in Botswana.

Torched huts, a police sergeant shot dead, a child's legs severed off the body by a bullet and another seriously injured, all conjures up images of some village in a war-torn country. For someone who knows this youth like me, he is just a boy - a bony or emaciated looking one.

But such is the havoc that Othusitse Josiah caused in Mosetse village of the Central District that he is no longer the innocent youth who fathered a child with a Form Three girl two years ago. Under normal circumstances, he did menial jobs such as brick moulding and drawing water.
