Thamaga murder suspects appear in court

MOLEPOLOLE: Ten people from Thamaga appeared before Molepolole magistrate, Lindiwe Makgoro yesterday on a single count of murder. The state alleges that the 10 men and others not before court murdered Montle Gaadingwe last month in Thamaga.

The prosecutor Sub-Inspector, Mishingo Kedikanetswe told the court that the investigations are still ongoing and two more suspects are still at large.

He said they are still waiting for a post-mortem report and other documents, hence the accused should remain in custody. The first accused Moreri Motlhakolane is represented by attorney, McBain Kaang. Ketshepaone Mmereki, the attorney for the second accused Kebeile Gabaikanngwe expressed worry that the post-mortem report has not been made available. He said it takes 14 days to release a post-mortem report and urged the prosecution to bring it in the next mention and the other suspects who are said to be at large.
