When Mmegi arrived at the school the students were idling around, some basking in the sun while a handful were inside the classrooms. A group was at the school ground playing football while others cheered them on. Meanwhile the teachers were relaxing in the staffroom chatting among themselves.

According to the students, since the teachers came back to work on Monday they gather in the staff room and chat while only a handful attend class to teach. "We are used to sitting outside basking in the sun and they do not even care. So today when they told us to go into the classes we asked ourselves what the point was so we went out and played in the fields," one Form Three boy said.
