Yesterday, his lawyer, Kgosietsile Ngakayagae told Mmegi that his client could take the stand depending on the outcome of testimony from state witnesses.
The state alleges that the 22-year-old former Botho University student brutally raped and robbed a woman in her Phase IV home causing her grievous bodily harm in the process. The trial before Chief Magistrate, Linah Oahile-Mokibe, is already at an advanced stage with two witnesses taking the stand.
