Tertiary education must improve - Molutsi

The chairperson of the Tertiary Education Council (TEC), Jacob Swartland, has said that the biggest resource of any nation is its human resource, hence the need to create well skilled people in Botswana.

Speaking in an interview at the official launch of the new tertiary education policy held at Gaborone Sun on Monday, Swartland said that by investing in people, Batswana can also go anywhere in the world.

He said the policy would play a part in improving access and the quality of tertiary education. He said that although there is access to education from primary to junior community schools, access reduces to 60 percent in senior school and is reduced to a low 11.4 percent at tertiary.
