An 18-year-old girl was raped early Sunday morning after being attacked by two unknown men whilst relaxing with her boyfriend.

The horrifying incident occurred around 3am when the two were approached by two men who threatened the boyfriend with a knife and demanded phones and money from the young couple. Fearing for his life, the boyfriend fled, leaving the teenage girl at the mercy of the attackers.

No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae said the suspects grabbed and dragged the girl to a nearby bush, where one of them raped her before they both fled the crime scene. "The boyfriend had ran to ask for help, when returning the two men fled. They reported the matter to the police. We have launched a probe to locate and arrest the duo still at large," he said.
