TEC to start accreditation process

The Tertiary Education Council (TEC) will start the process of accreditation of programmes in local institutions next year.

The organisation's Executive Secretary Patrick Molutsi says the Minister of Education and skills development has already signed the accreditation regulations and that the process should start early in the New Year. 

"The council will continue to pay attention to quality improvement of tertiary programmes during 2009/10," Molutsi says. "The process is that we register the institutions first and then accredit the programmes."
