Tebogo Primary Celebrates Anniversary With Victory Party

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe’s Tebogo Primary School celebrated its 40th anniversary this week with a victory party for achieving 98.6 percent pass in last year’s examination.

The pass rate secured a top 10 spot for the school in the country. The school was ranked number one out the 42 primary schools in Selebi-Phikwe and Bobirwa region. It was in the top five in the Central Region that has about 200 schools.  Tebogo Primary School head, Boyckel Kagiso said it was necessary for the school to celebrate its achievement though it did not reach the 100 percent pass rate that it recorded in 2004. He said two of its students were in the top 10 nationally.

He said the school has made great strides through immense support from parents. “We have a strategy where management and parents analyse results at the end of every school term,” he stated. Kagiso noted that like other schools, Tebogo Primary has a challenge of orphaned pupils and those who stay very far and come late.
