Tebelopele comes back bigger and better

Tebelopele Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centre is back on t.rack after it received US $20 million (P147,000)in funding from the United States of America.

With the new funding, the troubled centre has expanded its services to include TB screening, Safe Male Circumcision (SMC), STI screening, Community Based Organisations (CBO) capacity building, supportive and family planning education.

Tebelopele closed all its 16 branches in the country for two weeks in September 2011 and laid off its 125 employees to undergo a controversial transition after it exhausted its funding. The transition was meant to wind up all activities before starting on the new funding.
