Tears as robbery suspects appear in court

MAUN: Confessions and petitions for mercy by the accused in a case in which Delta Store in Etsha 6 was robbed of P98,000 two weeks ago, dominated the packed Maun Magistrate's courtroom last Friday.

Like flies attracted to a tin of milk, residents of Etsha filled almost all seats in court to get first hand information of the case proceedings and what transpired during the robbery. Most of them were relatives to the accused.

A sum of P61,540 has been recovered while the balance is suspected to be in the hands of seventh accused and ex-convict Stute Dithinde, who is still at large.
