Her organisation, Walk of Hope, will host tea for the elders who, she told The Monitor, are between the ages of 49 and 100. "Very often during times like this, we forget about our elderly people, and I just wanted to host this tea to put a smile on their faces," Motsemeng said.
The elders will also receive gifts on the day. Motsemeng said she chose the elders from Maunatlala (Cluster 15) to reward them for their activeness in the fight against crime in their ward. She said she first met the elders last year during the commemoration of 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Children where they staged a play. Walk of Hope is an organisation that fights sexual abuse and molestation against children. Because of the work, Motsemeng has been given an office to operate from at the Molepolole Police Station. The organisation will also host a Little Miss Walk of Hope in March this year to raise funds for wheelchairs for three deserving students at a Molepolole primary school.
