TAWU reports Batshu to Khama

The Trainers and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) has accused the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Edwin Batshu, of negligence and "failure to act in (the) public interest".

The union has taken the matter up with President Ian Khama because the minister allegedly ignored its letters protesting the registration of the Public Service Bargaining Council (PBSC).

In a letter dated June 14, 2012, TAWU president Allan Keitseng also accuses the Commissioner of Labour, Rose Sennanyana, of failure to inspect government departments.The letter says his union engaged in salary negotiations with the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) on the basis of its recognition status.
