Tati Nickel donates porta cabin to police

FRANCISTOWN: In a bid to fight increasing crime rates, Tati Nickel Mining Company (TNMC) has donated a porta cabin to Botswana Police Service?s (BPS) Molapo Satellite Cluster.

The managing director of TNMC, Bogdan Kuzhel, who noted that Botswana was the only country in the world where police went on the street unarmed, performed the handing over to the Commissioner of Police. "It is a token of gratitude from TNMC showing that we do not condone crime at all," Kuzhel said of his company's donation.

He said the formation of crime prevention clusters showed that Batswana were working together to fight the crime.
