Talks over extra-curricular activities stall

Negotiations meant to end a teachers' boycott of extra-curricular activities in schools have stalled, with accusations that the government is responsible for the state of affairs.

Botswana Secondary Teachers Union (BOSETU) spokesperson, Mogomotsi Motshegwa said the issue has not been discussed in months after the government promised to return to them.

Motshegwa said they asked about progress at a meeting last month but the government could only say it is looking into the matter.
