Survival scorns Mogae's Mo award

Government spokesman, Jeff Ramsay, says he is not surprised by London-based NGO, Survival International's mockery of former President, Festus Mogae's receipt of the Mo Ibrahim award.

Survival says the award makes a mockery of 'good governance' and ridicules Mogae for persecuting the Bushmen throughout his tenure as president.

"It is pitiful and pathetic. I'm not surprised at all, that's what you would expect, and their comments are very predictable. I think a lot of people have grown tired of them. Their credibility has declined," said Ramsay, who was also Mogae's spokesperson.
