Super Scouts club receives sponsorship from Mascom

Super Scouts Club pupils received a photocopier and P10,000 from Mascom on Friday. Six pupils represented the club at the handover ceremony in Tlokweng.

Super Scouts Club comprises children from Itumeleng Primary School who teach their peers and other people about environmental conservation.  Their project is called "greening of school grounds." Katso Gakebobone, a club member encouraged people to plant more trees towards conserving the environment.

The group said it has influenced other schools such as Masa and Khuduga primary schools who have also implemented their own conservation clubs. Club coordinator and teacher, Bernice Sethebe said that secondary and tertiary schools have interest in their club as they are willing to copy and help in the projects. The Super scouts team however said they need more funds to attain their goal in raising awareness and growing plants in many parts of the country. The other club members who were at the presentation are Thabo Sebethebe, Gofiwa Sebethebe and Thabang Sebethebe. Mascom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jose Vieira Couceiro was also present.
