Sub-district will continue Ipelegeng as a stopgap measure

MOGODITSHANE: Mogoditshane/Thamaga Sub-district has reaffirmed that it will continue to use Ipelegeng as a stopgap measure to engage Batswana outside the formal job market.

 Addressing a full council meeting here, chairman Driver Motlokwa said lack of job opportunities continued to be a challenge in the sub-district, hence continuation of the Ipelegeng programme.

Motlokwa revealed that the sub-district was allocated approximately P17, 7 million to implement 144 Ipelegeng projects in three constituencies during the 2012/13 financial year.
