Students barred from class for school fees

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Some students of Selebi-Phikwe Technical College (SPTECO) have been barred from attending classes for failure to pay school fees.

In an interview with Mmegi this week, the Principal Tony Kula, said the government's policy on cost sharing is clear that students are expected to pay school fees 10 days after starting their courses and that those who are unable should seek assistance from social workers.

Kula pointed out after assessment by social workers that such students may be exempted from paying school fees.
