A soldier who was allegedly humiliated and left traumatised by being stripped down and asked to shoot himself has lost his P450, 000 claim for damages he sought from his employers though he is not without remedy.

The soldier, Tabona Phaladze as it stands will not get his hands on the claim after the his employer, the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) and Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security successfully defended their appeal at the Court of Appeal (CoA).

Phaladze had sought the sum at the High Court and in his cross appeal at the CoA after the BDF lodged an appeal in which they were seeking to set aside the decision of Justice Abednego Tafa of the High Court.
